Bring 'Bake Off' home with these style ideas for you to steal!

After the return of 'The Great British Bake Off' last night we want to join in on the fun. Unfortunately, we may not be able to bring Paul or Mary home, but we can certainly entertain some other prominent features in our own homes. The set design makes us want to bake and here's how you can recreate the look so your kitchen inspires you.

1. Brave a D.I.Y project and upcycle old furniture, for a true feel of 'GBBO' go for pastels and recreate the look with duck egg blue chalk paint.

2. Keep it clear - store your ingredients in clear jars, not only is it aesthetically pleasing, it let's you see exactly what you've got.

3. Plate pride - Don't just use them, display them. Don't be afraid to mix and match, the splashes of different patterned and coloured plates will brighten up your kitchen.

4. We agree, no man or woman is an island, but think no 'Bake Off' kitchen would be complete without one. Upgrade your island with a Duropal worktop, like this Block walnut worktop available in Express Kitchens now: http://www.expresskitchens.ie/worktops/

5. Bring the straying summer back to your kitchen with the addition of florals.

6. Of course this list wouldn't be complete without this one - BUNTING. Why not get creative and make your own bunting with personalised messages or patterns!
